OT: What Triathletes can do to help a triathlon community in Japan

Sorry about this being a bit off topic, and I hope nobody will not disapprove of this post. I have just volunteered to head fundraising efforts in the United States and North America to raise money for to disaster relief in Japan with Tri 4 Japan (www.tri4japan.com).

I am asking you to help me reach as many people as we can through our extensive triathlon community. There are a number of ways you can do your part to help us, so please do as many as you can:

  1. LIKE Tri 4 Japan on Facebook by clicking here, then please invite your friends to Like Tri 4 Japan on Facebook. This will help create awareness. We were at 275 at the start of today.

  2. Go to www.tri4japan.com, read what we are doing, and click on donate. After donating let us and the ST forum know by posting that you did.

  3. Buy a T Shirt by clicking here.

  4. Bid on something at our upcoming ebay auction. For more information, click here.

  5. Spread the word that there are people, and a completely volunteer non-profit organization, deeply rooted in our sport, that is doing something to help the people of Japan.

  6. Finally, we will soon be offering a De Soto Skin Cooler Bike Jersey with all proceeds going to Tri 4 Japan. More information to follow.

What an awesome cause. I feel so bad for the utter devastation brought on such a kind and generous people. I can only urge that everyone who visits this site help out the cause. Hopefully triathletes can be recognized for helping ease the suffering.
