OT - could be on topic...can you "Tickle yourself"?

The title, sometimes I think that needs an explanation in itself. Tickle…tickle is an odd thing. I would like to think that everyone is ticklish, but I know that is not the case. I know people that you can just touch in the right spot and they will pee their pants. Tickle I think, is not all good. My girlfriend for instance hates it when I tickle her, and more so if she gets the dreaded “goose bumps” from the tickle…bad bad bad. No one I know that is over the age of well…six months really likes to be tickled, and I am willing to bet that the ones under six months don’t like it – but we as adults cant tell gas from an honest smile with those kids.

The tickle is something that I think science has left behind. I would think that if there was a possibility to figure the tickle out, and market it – well, I for one think that the drug war would be over. Then again, no one really likes a tickle. Well, not the kind you think of most times. Someone gets your feet, or your side, you arm pit…those are not the good ones: the ones where you are not in control and fight it. Then there is the really good ones, a slight brush to your thigh, your neck, ear…the slight brush of a woman’s touch on your penis or just a slight sensation of touch on a clitoris. Those are tickles too. Breath on your hair, a slight kiss to your ear…we all long for those.

What is odd to me is how a tickle fades. I remember the first night that I kissed my latest love. There were so many tickles, so many breathless wows. I could hardly keep myself still at her lips on my neck and her breath moving my hair…and sadly to say…that first kiss was more rememerable than the last time we made love. What was once a tickle is now just what some consider a human need…to procreate? Maybe that is why god gave us a tickle to begin with?

I do dearly wish that I could tickle myself. I wish that I had the ability to make myself smile, giggle, laugh and maybe even wet myself. God had some plan with the tickle, a plan that I will never understand, and will always confuse me. Why is it that someone can touch your feet and drive you batty, but alone…you are just touching your feet?

This my friends I consider a flaw in the system of the human experience. So…I ask you all. What tickles you? Is it Triathlon? Is it a fast split? What is it?

Record…good to hear from you. ‘Tickles’ are a very good thing.

My deep dark secret of what makes me laugh uncontrollably are those stupid Funniest Home Videos. I’m in tears after 5 minutes.

Also, when my sons joke around with the same sense of humor as mine and every sunset I see as I’m making dinner.

All are different yet all make me smile.

You cannot tickle yourself; the brain is wired to intercept this action, believe it or not. I read a study about it a few years ago.

For the record, I am not ticklish. I used to be, but I decided to stop, and I did.

EXACTLY…for some reason people DECIDE not to be. I wish I knew what age I was when I stopped “going out to play”…and was there after “hanging out” or “training” or something. I would much rather tell someone that I am going out to play than going out to train…“training” sounds so serious.
