Let me emphasize that again: this is a very incomplete listing. This means that I don’t want you going around quoting this list as the definitive treatment of the subject. I don’t want you to assume that just because something is missing here, it wasn’t very bloody.

I’m well aware that the 20th wasn’t the only century. Adding up all the deaths from the Crusades on, however, would hardly strengthen your case. Why don’t you try doing it for us?
Sorry - I should have qualified my post. I don’t think that site was by any means definitive, I only posted it as a cool thing to look at.
I still stand by my earlier point that religion is not the major cause of wars/death. Very few conflicts can be considered purely or even primarily religious in nature.
