OS X Power Meter Software?

Mac users with power meters - what software app are you using to download, analyze and manage your power files?

Using a Power Tap with a Garmin Edge 500.

Saris has their app. SRM has one and I know there are a few out there.

Before I start downloading applications, evaluating, uploading power files and analyzing hoping some fellow ST’ers have some experience and advice.

If you’re just looking at power, golden cheetah is all you really need. its free too…

If your looking at running as well, then you would want Apollo Raceday, not free or running WKO in a parallels or fusion virtual machine.

Golden Cheetah is pretty nice. I’ve used WKO+ and Golden Cheetah is pretty close.

I’m not a big fan of wko on parallells.

Looking at golden cheetah or Race day moving forward.

raceday is awesome. Been using it for ~3 years now. Good for coaching as well. You can get it on physfarm.com. It is native to Mac.

It runs better on VMWare Fusion

Golden cheetah is nice and poweragent is not really that bad for basic stuff. Between the two of those you will be fine.

Not a huge fan of race day, might just be because i did not take enough time to really learn how to use it.

Golden Cheetah

Golden Cheetah

Thanks to everyone for their input. I finally got Golden Cheetah installed, read the docs and uploaded almost 6 months of power and training data.

Definitely like the no-frills interface and the Critical Power and mapping features.

Late to the party, but you can try out Apollo Raceday on a 30 day free trial, easy download. I really liked it, but decided on Golden Cheetah since the price is right.

Going to dig this thread up, But has anyone else found any other programs worth useing? golden Cheetha sounds like a winner. I wish WKO+ could run on mac. Garmin training centre doesnt have the power anaylisis options does it???
Cheers

But It looks like Golden Cheetha doesnt have anything it can do for your running?

Golden Cheetah is great for power analysis but as you say it’s not designed for running.

I use a combination of programmes to track training - Golden Cheetah for the bike, Ascent for running and Raceday Apollo for overall planning and tracking. Each have different strength’s and weaknesses.

What are the chances of WKO for Mac appearing anytime soon?

Approximately 0%.

Cheers, any idea why?

Has anyone ever used polars programs with polars power meter?
