It’s time to replace my trainer. I have an opportunity to purchase a new in box original Hammer. What are the differences between it and the new H3? I didn’t find anything about the Hammer on Saris’ site.
Thanks!

Apparently the H3 is much quieter than the H1 and H2.
If that isn’t an issue, then go for it.
Edit: I originally thought the original Hammer didn’t broadcast cadence and wheel speed. It looks like it does now assuming a person takes the time to update their firmware.
No longer correct, it’s been able to do cadence for awhile now with a firmware update.
I think there are some great deals on the hammer lately that folks should snag, I have the gen1 (paid $1200, should have waited some years lol) and have not been enticed to upgrade. It’s pretty darn accurate (compared to the assioma uno, runs a little low in comparison) and erg mode is great. People talk about noise, I don’t notice it because I have fans that are louder and I wear headphones anyway.
Thanks, ya’ll. At a little under $600, the Hammer looks tough to beat
Can confirm, I have a H1, it does cadence and wheel speed. I use TR and Zwift, I also use a Garmin Edge 820 to record sessions. All the data is there.
Its not that loud at all really, its also been solid as a rock for me for the past 3 years (or however long I’ve had it)
Ah, that’s great! I’ll update my first post.
