There are lots of places online to order but given the reviews I’ve read of some of the sites not sending the sunglasses for months, I thought I’d ask the ST community which websites they’ve had good service from. Thanks in advance it’s much appreciated.
Have you checked with local optometrist/eye doctor offices to try and find an Oakley dealer? Personally I was able to find a local optometrist office who sent the job out to the Oakley lab and got great service.

I have checked locally (Toronto, Ontario) but they don’t carry the M Frame, and cost quite a lot more than U.S. Anyone have experience with http://www.sportsvisionbend.com/ ?
Check out the website for Sportvision in Bend Oregon. I ordered prescription Jawbones and they came with Oakley lenses (apparently not everywhere does this) in less than one week. They sent several emails updating me on where they were in the process (order confirmed, lenses being placed and when shipped). Couldn’t have been happier with them.
Oakley has a fairly limited range of prescriptions that they will do in their lab. If your Rx is outside those limits, I would recommend Sports Optical in Denver, CO. We have purchased multiple sets of sunglasses and glasses from him for everyone in the family and Brett always does a great job (and stands behind his work).
I checked Out that website…it still seems pretty expensive around about $600 for a polarized prescription fast jacket frame. I got mine for $500 from a local dealer. PM me and I’ll let you know.
However, I don’t know about the M frame. I’m positive that they cannot do a prescription version of the M frame because of the lens curvature. I’ve tried that route. I have 3 prescription oakleys so far and every retailer I contacted said the same thing about the M frame. They can maybe put prescription inserts behind the curved lens shape, but not have a prescription lens of that curvature.
Apparently they can, check out the websites above. They actually cut out the lens and fit the lens directly in. You can see pics on websites, it’s not an insert but actually a cutout of the lens. I havent called them at Sports Vision Bend, but it certainly looks like they can.
Yeah…that’s actually what I meant by an insert…a cutout into the lens whcih is slightly curved.
The problem with these is peripheral vision. You cant make out much and its annoying to have an edge that you have to look over…every time you are trying to watch out for cabbies sneaking up on you…basically these are slightly better than everyday prescription glasses when it comes to that. Also don’t know if they can make the cutout AND the non cutout part polarized and fitting the curvature.
I received a pair of lenses for my oakleys from sports optical - www.sportsoptical.com. Excellent service and even better lenses. Although I live in NorCal I’m going to use them for my future prescription lenses.
