It’s a good looking suit. Also, your English is better than 95 percent of the high schoolers I teach and it is their first language. No need to apologize.
I was also curious about this as I’m up in the air about which to get for the upcoming season. I’ll hold off in the hopes of a Spring release. The other options currently seem to be:
Pearl Izumi Octane Tri Suit
Fusion Speed Suit
Louis Garneau Course M-2 Triathlon Skin
Champion System APEX Triathlon Speedsuit
Castelli Body Paint Sanremo Tri Suit SS
Castelli Free Sanremo Suit SS

Stay away from Champion Systems. If you buy only 1 suit, the Apex is $595. You only get good deals when you do group buys. Yes, the website says only $238, but that’s if you have an order of 10. I contacted them once thinking it was $238, and when they told me $700 (it used to be over $700), I laughed so hard and told them I was going to buy a Pearl Izumi Octane Tri suit.
Oh wow really? I guess I’ll hit the brakes on the custom graphics I was having my friend put together for my single order. That’s insane! Who pays that kind of $ for a single suit. I guess I know which rout I’ll be going this year then … I’m so sick of the same colors on EVERY athlete on the course. It’s terrible for spectators trying to identify their loved one. I was thinking the customer suit would solve this for my entourage hahaha
Yeah I told their representative that their pricing structure was insane. He told me he would forward my complaint to their management, but I never heard back
Im not sure you are comparing apples to apples. You got quoted for 1 custom made order to exactly what you want. A company cant make money doing 1 offs for age group athletes that want their own “pro kit”. Champion Systems “go to market” strategy is custom team apparel and their pricing is very competitive if you are outfitting a Team. Yes they will make 1 custom kit for the uber rich guy that wants to look pro if that’s what he really wants but your not calling up castelli, 2xu. orca, huub, pearl izumi, or anyone else and getting your own individual kit made with high quality graphics and colors for 200 bucks. Not sure why your bashing them so hard. I have zero affiliation with champion systems and have never worn their product. Im not part of a club team.
I’m bashing them because I didn’t want a custom suit. I wanted a simple one color suit. I thought they might have a standard navy blue or black or something base kit to buy. The pictures made it look that way last year when I considered them.
So yes, apples to apples. By the way, they offer a lot of standard items that are not custom you can buy.
I have a 2 piece Champion Systems cycling kit on a team order. I love it. Yes, they are great for a team order. My old tri-suit was a ChampSys suit. However, for 1 suit, no, they are not great.
I’m not mad about their company! I just think they should offer non-custom gear for people who want it
It’s a superthin four-piece chamois that they call the “longdistancePAD” - two larger pieces under the sit bones +/- (maybe 1/4" thick) and two narrower pieces up through the front (1/8" thick).
Also Virklon Aero Endurance is a nice option at 89 euros - sleeves, minimal pad - I used last year’s version and it worked well for me
+1 on this. I got one last year and just never posted anything about it. The material they use around the arms/shoulders is super thin and flexible. If it’s a wetsuit swim I can’t imagine it adversely affecting anyones ROM. The downside is that you’d only want to wear that suit in races as I doubt the arms will hold up long.
