Orbea possible brake issue?

Just got a 2008 Orbea Opal. 1st road bike!
I ordered Tektro aero R725 brakes.

Thinking that the front was going to be a center pull, it was a behind the front fork caliper.
Now, don’t panic! A nut came with the set and it fits perfect. So I thought?

Here on the side view. I have not installed the cables yet, but, If i turn super hard right, the little 908 degree cable router thingy could hit the der cable.

That open hole is where the 90* brake thinggy goes.

I am taking it to mu LBS this weekend. after I get some STI shifters. So I will follow up.

But in the mean time. would you…
A. Not turn hard right? Say “F” it?
B. sell it and get another caliper?
c. Try to jimmy rigg it to make it work?

I would suggest option B, selling it and buying another caliper. The reason being that behind the fork front brakes have been found to be LESS aerodynamic than a caliper in front of the fork. I have also found in my experience that the Tektro “aero” brake is simply not very good at doing its main job ie braking, every sample I have installed is spongy with poor modulation and power. So given that its less aero, an inferior brake and interferes with the derailleur cables unless you are set on this for a cosmetic perspective put on a set of standard calipers.
