Online Training Programs

Training for my first IM (next fall). Does anyone have familiarity with PKRS.AI? Seems to be reasonably priced ($30/mo), and comparable to some other options (e.g., Trainiacs at $57/mo).

Have you considered trainer road? thats what ill be using for IM training this year but potentially changing up some swim and run sessions as I see fit because I have more experience in those sports

I’ll definitely check out TrainerRoad, thanks for the suggestion.

I’ve done a number of triathlons prior (although no IM-distance), so I’m mostly looking for week-by-week scheduling, wanting to make sure I’m not under/over training, etc.

TR may overtrain you on the bike so tread lightly if you go that way. I’d like to hear any feedback on PKRS.AI as well if anyone has tried it.

From what I heard(I might be biased here), those Andy Potts Racing Custom Training Plans and their new Pottsheads Plus Program is the best bang for your buck.

Just saying

I used TR for my last IM and had a really good experience. That said, it is pretty slanted to cycling. You cant analyze swim and run data (unless this has been updated in the last 8 months)
I started using Todays Plan this year and really like it. You do have to “push” your workouts to somewhere (Zwift, Head unit ETC) but there is a ton of tools for analysis and good connections with other services .

TrainingPeaks has quite a few options: https://www.trainingpeaks.com/training-plans/triathlon/full-distance/?language=en&sort.field=soldCount&sort.dir=desc&index=0
.

I’ve done a few IM and lots of halves with different coaching strategies: local in-person, endurance nation, and the friel book. For 2021 I’m using the Phil Mosley plans. I started with an Outseason one that’s 8 weeks long and is quite good, moving into the FTP one next, and then finally the IM one. So far I’m happy with them.

Have been using PKRS for a while. Thought I would give it a go whilst there isn’t any real racing going on. I really like it, it is quite intuitive (which I thought would be a gimmick but it’s not). The biggest thing I like is the addition of meditation, nutrition (actual meals and recipes), and strength stuff all within the one portal.

This is what makes the difference to me personally over a simple swim, bike, and run program.

80/20 endurance.
