One of my good friends running 6:45 Boston Pace by 20k

I can’t get the link to work but he’s running at a 6:45 pace.

Just sick

How do some of you people run this fast for a marathon. Its just simply mind freaking boggling. Really…

6:45 is not fast, I can do that… what is truly sick is under 5minute miles

I’d collapse at the 5k mark at a 6:48 pace.

If you can run sub 3 hours at Boston, you are gifted.

But about everybody who posts here I guess is, but, what the hell do I know.

Jerry’s bib is 2103.

Damn it.

Damn it all.

I don’t think he’s at 20K yet - they started at noon, and just posted the 10M split for the fastest men at 50:18. Not so bad, eh? I’ll go over there in a few min and see for myself what this pace looks like.

Correct that, he’s running at a 6:39 pace. Tell me what’s wrong Paulo.

  1. He runs LESS miles than me per week.

  2. I have prettier outfits.

  3. My shoes are much more expensive.

  4. I swim much faster than he does.

  5. I’ve read more books than he has about this.

What’s the deal here?

I’m going back and starting over. Damn all of your books and theories and gentle handed, rational, intelligent stuff.

This time, when I run, I’m running at a 6:56 pace (as fast as I can humanly go) and only run at that speed until I pass out. If that means, vomiting and passing out after 1.6 miles, then so be it. I will run at no other speed. Then, Wait a few days and try to run at breakneck speed for 2 miles and so on, until I can get up to 26.2 miles, THAT WAY; hopefully by March of 2009, I’ll be ready for action.

I offered you free coaching and you let that pass… chance of a lifetime man, chance of a lifetime…

That’s true. You did. You didn’t want that mess, though. I was injured on both knees. I was cold. I was tired. I was on DMSO. I ran on Advils. I was a $475 maiden, first time Lasix and Bute, running at Delta Downs.
