My favorite was during the shooting of the ‘Lancer’ scenes where he toggles back & forth between the role his character is playing, to just his base character Rick when he forgets his lines, and then right back into the western character. Flipping that intensity switch so seamlessly like that was really impressive.
I finally got a chance to see it. Excellent film. The last 30 minutes or so was fantastic. That ending was way better than the real one. /obvious
I’ll have to go see this. Tarantino was on Fallon and said he comes up with the basic gist of the soundtrack before he writes his movies. He has a room full of vinyl and when he has an idea for a film he goes through his record collection and just starts playing songs, trying to find the personality of the movie.
I liked it a lot. One of the failings of a lot of stories is the ending. That ending was fantastic.
Though the Oscar goes to Brandy.

Possible spoilers below so anyone who hasn’t seen it beware.
I was wondering if Tarantino was going the revisionist route like he did with Inglorious Basterds or if he was going to keep it historical. The build up had me guessing that if historical how was he going to handle what happened inside the Tate/Polanski house, and then how would the fictional characters (Pitt and DiCaprio) fit in with what was happening next door at the Tate/Polanski house. I guess I got my answers. Kind of didn’t see that ending coming until the discussion in the car involving the Manson Family shitheads.
The scene at the Spahn Ranch was tense as hell too.
I’m not normally creepy like this but Margot Robbie is about as perfect looking a person that has ever walked this earth. Not to be like Jonah Hill’s character in Wolf of Wall Street when he first sees Robbie’s character. 
I wasn’t aware of it, and didn’t notice it during the movie, but apparently Tarantino is well known for his foot fetish. I was talking with a friend after seeing the movie who mentioned it. Then remembered the camera focus on Margot Robbie’s feet in the movie theater and the Manson girl Brad Pitt picks up and drives.
There’s at least a quality to it that is sorely lacking in most films.
this x10. I’m a terrible movie critic, but this really stood out to me and was my first comment after it was over. IMO, hard to do this with so many uber-famous actors, but Taratino pulled it off in spades. I bet no one had fun filming this.
I saw it about 2 weeks ago. I had absolutely no idea it was
… going to be revisionist. I was impressed by the car, the scenery, etc. Was not thinking about the ending. Then, the last 30 min, ho-ly shit! I had absolutely no idea that was coming. I was watching it on the plane with headphones on. Wifey saw me lying back and relaxing, then, suddenly bolt upright all wide-eyed. She said, “What the hell are you watching that cause that???”
