On-Line Bike Fit Calculator

I am in the market for a new tribike. Some of the one’s that I have been looking at I fall right at the line between medium and large. I googled (jiggled as my mother-in-law says) bike fit calculator and came up with a number of results, some of them from very reputable sources ( Nytro, R & A Cycles, etc). Has anyone used any of these and what were your results? FWIW, I am 5ft 10 inches tall, 32 inch inseam. I also wonder how age effects fit. Being 54 years old, if I have the same dimesions as a 24 year old, should the fit and sizing be the same? Thanks.

If you were getting a new road bike, I’d say you’d be fairly safe going with the online fit results. For a tri fit, though, I say no. Too many variables that won’t be considered (like flexibility, specific physical issues, etc).
