Yeah, I know the photo quality sucks and the lighting is bad, but you work with what you have at the moment. Barb’s Race set up. I love this bike, but would like to get it repainted. Six years and a lot of miles.
sweet ride! I just got the same bike this year (matte black) and hope to get at least a decade of use out of it! I love it when people don’t feel like they have to rush out and get the latest and greatest. That setup looks superfast.
Sweet ride Cathy! Is that the Blackwell Flow saddle?
Yup - nothing wrong with that! I’d just about give that a bike porn rating actually! Looks used (probably the photos) and fast. I like that look better than spanking new and shiny
Cathy,
The bike looks GREAT with those wheels! I especially LOVE the back wheel
Thanks!! Yes, the Blackwell saddle.
Rroof: It’s not the photo–there are a few chips in the paint. It’s the year the paint job wasn’t quite up to snuff. But the Kona sticker and the hula girl and Hawaii flower stickers make up for the chips.
Paulo honey, I KNEW you’d like the wheels.
Big thanks to the Corndog for the wheels.
Here is the P2K’s brother: the Cervelo Prodigy (steel).
No pic of the mountain bike (old Specialized Rockhopper), but I’ll post a picture of my NEW ride this weekend when I get it! (Redline Conquest Pro cross bike!!!) Yes, I subscribe to the N+1 theory.

There’s something to be said for the old faithfuls. I was semi-contemplating a new bike for next year (currently on an '02 QR Picanti) but thought, nah… I love my bike, it works well for me and we have so much history together. I’m sentimental like that.
WTF is up with the Samsonite luggage set hanging under the seat?
Far out, WHAT goes in a bag that big? A family of illegal aliens?
Nice bike (mine looks near identical except for bar tape and a few other minor details)
Great bike(s) love the prodigy too.
I have never seen a hed wheel like that rear is that just cover or is it a true disk, I honestly have no idea.
B
That’s a HED 3D no longer made.
Thanks,
Any ideas if it was good or not. How does it compare to todays disks?
I love the colour (color). Same as my P2K btw.
Far out, WHAT goes in a bag that big? A family of illegal aliens? <<
The Portuguese…
Where have you been hiding those wheels!? Holdin’ out huh?
That 3D is SO rare and if it is a 650 you really better hold onto it. If you paint it do something one-off & sick!
The bikes are awesome and so are the plates…but that car…yikes…its gotta go…you need a Prius or a New Rabbit TDI :-).
By the way, Triyoda is riding the same bike :-). Luckily, you are making your bike go faster than him. (Then again, everyone’s Cervelo is going faster than Triyoda’s moving which moves like an 8 cyclinder vintage Camaro except in reverse).
In case you ever choose to upgrade, I have a P3SL in pretty well the same size gathering dust that you should buy:-)

Only a triathlete could possibly consider a 6 y old bike bike to be “old school”.
Great stuff. So nice to see some other people still riding the same bike year after year!!
I’m surprised that the ST police haven’t jumped on you for the spacers and seat in the slack position. I’ll try to post a photo to this thread of my red P2K later today.
I was expecting to see a 1996 P2. That is not “old school”. Hell, they still make the same frame (or pretty close anyway).
Yeah, I figured the bike was OK when the big German rode the same bike last year in Kona.
And I love my truck. I will not drive some little aluminum box after being hit and run at 50 mph in this truck with no virtually no damage to me or the other three passengers (or the 4 bikes in the back). Remember, I live in SF, so I rarely drive (truck is 2001 model and only has 35,000 miles on it).
I’ve had my eye on the P3SL, but I don’t like the black or the finish. But for the right price…
