I hope you guys enjoy them. Bjorn’s visit and speaking with Jason Goldberg (last night after midnight!) was fantastic- a real treat for me. I wish I had more time to work on things like this.
Nice that SuperDave has a sort of new gig! Does the promotion mean that he’ll be able to help me get some orange touch-up paint for my wife’s 2005 S-22?? The local dealer hasn’t been able to help…
Dave sounds like a great guy. Jim Felt is no dummy so he must see some real talent. Welcome to California Dave…will you be relocating permanently out here. I know Jim is somewhere near Auburn…is that where Lake Forest is?
Does this seem like a smart thing to do, assuming that IMWI was an “A” race?
“Despite the rising heat and wind he rides most of the loop like this, completing an entire loop of the Ironman Wisconsin bike course four days before race day in less than two hours. As training.”
It is in Orange County, just up the road from Irvine. Their building is 5 mins from a great mountain biking area and just across the freeway from Oakley WHQ. Welcome to Orange County, Dave and good luck.
Tom,
You know as well as I the importance of a good rep. I will say it again, a GOOD rep. Not just a guy with a tablet taking orders.
I’ve know just a few reps in my day as good as David. None were better. He is the type of guy that makes my job easier. He makes it fun to sell bikes. I would buy just about anything from a guy like that.
I wish him the best, but selfishly I wish he would stay.
It is just incredible how low Bjorn can get. I thought I was doing well when I went from riding my Trek in '04 (pic#3) to my Kalibur this year (pic#2), but in comparison Bjorn’s position is just insanely low… and I am insanely jealous
Me too Chris. Dave, in addition to being a great professional associate, is also one of my closest friends. He has spent many a late night here shooting the breeze or having a heart-to-heart about topics with nothing to with the bike industry.
Superdave’s tour in this region was during a lot of turmoil in our cycling community, and he was a steady man to have on the bridge in rough seas.
I like thr guy and I’ll miss him. Quite a lot actually.
The most interesting part to me was the Allied Aerospace shot, 5.44lbs of drag at 25.4mph is a lot. He must be a really big guy (it’s hard to tell from the pictures) to have such a low position, and yet still be that un-aero.
