“Official” Lance / Kona 2011 Countdown Thread - Eventual Spoiler
We will do this one by months, because I am having a hard time keeping up with all of the Lance threads, and the overall excitement I have created (along with the help of a few others)
ONLY 27 MONTHS UNTIL THE GREATEST ATHLETE OF OUR GENERATION TAKES ON KONA AS HIS NEXT CHALLENGE! Now remember haters, and haters who qualify every post by saying, “I don’t hate Lance, but…” , this is going to be a rough time for you, but we are here for you.
Ok…I say top 3 Overall in 2011, and he wins it all in 2012. You guys can slice and dice it all you want, but the numbers all point to a victory for Lance. Did Eddie win Kona…maybe G-man can check that for us.
That is what some said of my first LA thread, and look how it has grown, and spread to sub threads. There is no stopping the LA phenomenom. It is a hell of a lot more interesting than discussing say…will a disc or 1080 help me bring my bike split down from 7:30 to 7:25.
Well dumbshit, you spelled Eddys name wrong. But that figures, they don’t teach much history in troll school, now do they? But anyway I will be out there on the Highway to Hell 2010, will you? I was actually thinking of doing Ironman (notice not any, but the Ironman singular) like I did in the old days as a bucket list thing before I can’t run anymore.
Haven’t done it since 86, nor have I wanted to. I made my peace with Madam Pele a long time ago and don’t want to piss her off for a number of reasons. I am just thinking it is a lot easier to go ride 5 hours and drink beer. But I never let the sun go down on me in the Ironman, and that may not happen if I did it again. i am afraid of the dark out there in the Lava. I hope Lance does show up, it will be interesting.
Well G-Man, name calling…you show your true colors again. I’m sure everyone is very impressed with your Kona story. No, tough guy, I won’t be there…not much of a swimmer. But if your up for racing Zofingen, a 24 hour MTB race, the Texas 24 TT, or 6-Gap let me know.

Wow, sounds like a tro down in the big T. Big name events those ones. My last race in the big Tex was in like 1988. I have won a few races in that state.
I even beat Lance in a couple of bike races. We laughed at him a few times. He was a freeking scary kid that one, like 15 years old and riding with the 1-2s. And his mom was a hottie. Got schooled a few times then he was pretty much unbeatable in Texas. Then when he turned triathlon no one could catch him.
Dude, you really need to learn to swim. Come see us at Xterra Maui, now that is some fun. If you have the coins, we have some great mtb shit on our rock in the ocean. You can drink with our team anytime if you can handle. Last 24 hour we had a 5 gal keg of Black Butte Porter in our camp. Drunk laps at 2am are really fun, till you T-bone a cow.
Big Alohas little G, keep the trash talkin and come see us. What about the SSCXWC in P-town Nov, you got a SS cross bike? Best race on the planet today. Just look for me, I will be the oldest guy in the field on a really really nice bike. If you can’t go, buy a faster bike.
Wow, Lance really is an impressive athlete if he’s racing Kona 2011 in only 15 months. He must be pretty fast to bend time like that.
