Anyone got a single and double bta setup with computer mount out front?
Not sure what pieces I need to buy to complete the setup. Do I need angle wedges? size of riser? I’ve seen a few good options on PD, Tri C, fastt, and absolute speed but not sure where to put my coin.
I wouldn’t think you would need any angle as you already have a flat base for the hydration. Unless you wish to tilt the bottle to match your arms.
PD has flat risers (45mm each) and tilt wedges. There is currently no dual bottle option from PD.
Dual bottle is going to require a bar from someone else (with the usual warning that PD hasn’t tested products from any other brand thus can’t endorse any non-PD setup). If you want adjustable tilt and rise - Culprit has already mentioned his product.
I just got my profile A3 bridge in stock and I also just got restocked on bta risers. so if you need a 2 bottle or 1 bottle solution that has adjustment, reach out.
Hi Hive. Trying to fit different aero bars to my Canyon CF7. From these pics, can anyone clarify the following. I’m guessing the mount on my base bar is A3. I then have three decreasing height A3 spacers, an A3-A2 adapter and an adjustable bracket that holds the arm cup and the aero bar. I want to replace the bracket that holds the arm cup and the aero bar as my new aero bars are once piece - integrated arm cup and aero bar, although I’ll need the flat plate to bolt the new aero bars to. I’m after a clean and tidy solution that retains the ability to adjust the angle. Thanks, Pat.
Usually in these cases, the manufacturer would provide mounting systems for the various brands. See culprit, aerocoach for example. If it were me and the bolt spacing matched Id just slap a ASC pro bracket on it live with it, safety risk be damned. Cyclenuts above can’t claim every non profile bar would be safe because profile is only responsible for their products being used for their designed purposes.
Any news on the kit with the longer bolts? I have been looking into increasing the stack height on my BMC Speedmachine and do not necessarily fancy switching to an entirely aftermarket solution like D2Z, FastTT or Wattshop for 20mm more pad stack… So this would be a wonderfull workaround!
Turns out it was discontinued a while ago. The USA team have raised this topic to me so shall be looking into whether it can be restarted or replaced. Sorry I didn’t have the correct info last time.
Just got my new Canyon Speedmax CF 7. I have put on the spacers that came with the bike (20+10+5mm). From bikefit ideally I should have 25mm more stack, I also want a bta solution and trying to figure out my options.
The high rise kit. Gives me enough stack, and the required bridge. But can the bridge be used for bta? Not sure what the hole is for.
The angle spacer and bta bridge. I like the feeling of a bit more angle (have the max 15 ° now). I assume there angle spacer adds stack as well? I have read a bridge is required/recommended when stack is 40mm?
The holes in the bridge were for a BTA attachment, but I don’t think it is available anymore
Yes, the tilt booster would add a bit of stack, but more tilt takes it away, so you don’t gain much in the end. Unless your pads are all the way forward. Yes a bridge is required over 40mm
Get an A3A low riser kit to gain extra risers, buy the longer bolts required for higher stack and an A3A BTA bridge.
Just to confirm, the current Speedmax CF uses the A3 system. The bridge is native to this. The tilt booster is called “a2 tilt booster”, and the instructions say you need a2 system, or A3 system with A3 adaptor. But I feel like this is a typo? The tilt booster looks to fit natively to the armpad bracket on A3.
Your bike has an A2 bracket with A3 risers. It has been a gradual transition replacing A2 products with A3 - next years Speedmax CF model will have the A3 bracket.
The A2 Tilt Booster allows the A2 bracket to hit 18-30deg of tilt (0-15deg is built in). The A3 bracket has 0-30deg built in so doesn’t need the booster (and doesn’t fit it).
On your bike, you would fit the A3 BTA Bridge at the top of the risers, underneath the A2 baseplate.
This guide gives some information about spec and upgrade options
Thank you! That pdf was very good, would have been good if canyon supplied it themselves.
But this means I could also ask a friend who has some a2 spacers laying around to borrow one to avoid getting the full kit, and I can focus on getting the bridge (and possibly tilt booster)? I.e. this generation speedmax allows mixing spacers?
Yes, you are able to mix and match. So an A2 riser would go above the curved bracket baseplate. The Tilt booster would go above those risers. And an A3 BTA bridge would go amongst the flat A3 risers.
The plan is to produce guides for all the PD OE partners, to help dealers and riders know what works with their bikes.
