actually 64mm is the industry standard.
63mm is not the industry standard. Tririg have undersized their mount.
Thats why i put both statements in quotes from their respective websites.
Seems TriRig does their own thing to lock in users
Just a note, both TriRig risers will be switching to the rear bolt hole being a slot to hit the 64mm spacing. Next production run will have this implemented.
Always good to see you here @realbdeal
Got my PD BTA Bridge and honestly I’m disappointed. I don’t understand why the actual bridge is angled back instead of just horizontal (is it more aero?). My bottle now sits far below my mouth. And the 2nd bottle is way too in the back and actually hits me when I go down.
If you switch it (you can use an A3A switch adapter) it will be way too forward and might hit your aerobars. Or you won’t have enough space to out in your bottle.
Good concept of having a light bridge that would work with an A3A, just a tad bit of bad execution.
Because we modelled clearance for riders with the small ASC Pro or short 43ASC extensions and different size garmins then set the bridge far enough back that those riders would be able to use a bottle.
The other option was to make something adjustable, but that has drawbacks too. But if you have two bottles you must have them mounted on a bar that could shift along the BTA mount>
I know it will most likely be a bit costly (from a manufacturing standpoint) but 2 options would have been great. The current one for the shorter length ASCs and a straight one for those longer (350 and up) ASCs. I wish I knew that before I purchased, I would have looked at other options.
For now, I’ve got a big bottle and a smaller bottle for the dual bottle set up upfront.
