Oakley lenses (1)

I’ve been training/racing in Oakley Flak-jackets for a few years. I’ve repleced the lenses a few times, but my newest lenses seem to not be like my old ones. The sweat use to roll down and not mess with my vision but not the new ones. I bought the bottle of coating and tried that, but it doesn’t seem to work. Does anyone have any advise? Thanks for the help

Are they official ones? I know some sellers on eBay make it seem like they’re authentic Oakley lenses but they aren’t.

they are, i bought them from the Oakley factory
.

hmm…which lens is it?

Send em back!

The first pair of Oakleys I bought were a pair of half jackets that I bought from from something like a sunglass hut in the mall or whatever–a legit store. Within a week the coating on the inside of the lens had started to flake off, about 1mm^2 / day. I took them back and they gave me a new pair.

Don’t know too much about sweat and what Oakleys can do or not do about it. It’s saline and anything else that you are running or cycling into, mixed in. Check out the Samvette website, and lenses available on E-Bay. You can get various colors and transmittances. There are other lens vendors too.

The old lenses had the hydroPhobic coating applied at the factory. The new lenses should have come with a little pen to apply the coating by yourself. You may need a fresher pen?

I applied to mine and it works fine…
