I will be on Oahu for about 10 days. Although only riding a little each day would like one long training ride on a Saturday preferably .ANyone know any weekly group rides in the Kaneohe region or elsewhere. RElatively fast would be preferred.

Sent you a PM with a contact you might want to try.
But in general, Kaneohe is a great area to start a long ride from as most cyclists on Oahu prefer that side of the island for the bulk of thier long ride mileage. Not too difficult to do it solo.
Whatever you do, don’t ride over Pali Highway from the Kaneohe side to town. Searching Strava, you’ll see plenty of people ride over Pali Highway, but only the bravest of souls do it from the Kaneohe side.
Make sure to ride up Tantalus at least once while you’re there. Oahu has a lot of good 1-2 mile ridges to climb on the East side (Aina Haina/Hawaii Kai area) if you’re into that. You can do them all in one ride if you’re up to it.
Thanks a lot! Very helpful and I just sent that email so hopefully will be joining that ride.
Hook up with the good folks at Island Triathlon & Bike - they have a number of group rides throughout the week. Some more challenging than others.
Also Hawaii Bicycling League (hbl.org) is a great resource.
And yes, Strava will have some great segments.
It’s been said, but Island Triathlon & Bike does a Saturday morning ride that ranges between 37-60 miles, depending on weather and the desires of the group. It starts town side though, so you’d have to find your way over there early in the morning. It’s not a super intense sufferfest where if you get dropped you’ll never see the group again. The main group typically goes between 20-21 mph and makes a few regrouping stops along the way. So, if you want to ride balls to the wall and feel like death afterward, it’s probably not the ride for you.
Cold and rainy here. But good look on your ride in paradise
