Nytro.com bike trade in

They have this link on their website http://www.nytro.com/tradeinoffer.html that indicates you can trade in your bike at a set price for a new QR, Lightspeed or Merlin. Anyone have any experience with this?

It’s an ABG deal. You can fill out a form on their web site as well for idea whay your old bike will be worth (not much)

Mine is only a year old and their “appraisal” was only $300 less than I paid for it which seems generous from what I have seen of the used bike market.

Sooooo, if I am reading that correctly, I take in my bike and appraisal and they will credit that amount towards the purchase of a one of theose three brands?

Hmm maybe you paid too much last year? Heck take the money and upgrade. YOu can do your part to keep the economy going. They end up selling most of these bikes on E-Bay via preownedbikes.com

Hell yes. When I bought this bike last year (Specialized) I was looking for a comfort roadbike with nice components. I hadn’t been on a bike in a long time so comfort was #1. Triathlon was not even a thought at the time. Now as I am getting back into tri, a cool tri bike sounds real good. After I get one of those aero tri bastard bikes, and my back is aching, I’ll probably trade it back in for my old Specialized.

That is indeed correct, you can go to tradeinbikes.com and check the value. Once you have the value and the printout, you can take it to your shop, give them the bike and you will receive the credit towards that new Litespeed, QR or Merlin. For those, whose bikes are not listed they can call the 1-800 number and get one of the tradein staff to value and quote it. Pretty straight forward. Is this going to work for everyone? Well it is just like trading in your car, it works for many, but not for everybody.
Hope this helps.

Damn, that is slick. Nytro looks like a great place but is about 4-5 hours from me. Any dealers in central CA?

Go to the Litespeed.com or the rooworld.com site and look for a dealer near you. This tradein deal is a nationwide offering and pretty much any of our dealers should be able to help you out. In this case though Nytro is a very forward thinking shop and they are actively promoting this offering. Right now you can actually combine the tradein deal with the “Free wheels” deal. Pretty sweet.
