NYC triathlon team needs a coach

I’m looking to start a New York City presence for an already existing triathlon club. The uniforms, website, and other infrastructure are already up and running. My first step in getting the NYC chapter off the ground, however, is to get a coach onboard. The team will be offered to all levels, but the focus will really be on faster, more experienced triathletes (e.g., Olympic distance: women under 2:30 and men under 2:15).

If you either know of or are a coach in the NYC area that is interested in building a book of business through such a club, please let me know.

Im not a coach, but Im looking for a new team to join next year. NYC needs a new fresh Triathlon Team . . . A lot of the current teams are lacking camaraderie compared to other Tri Teams I have experienced in other cities. There is defiantly a market for beter/more teams. Great idea!
Id be interested to know more and get involved.

I’m also interested in the team and fit the criteria.

Great! I’ll be sure to keep you posted on our progress. If you have any coach contacts that would be a good fit, let me know.

I am a USAT certified coach and personal trainer in NYC and work with some athletes who already fit the criteria or who are on their way there. I will follow up with a private message.

I think Jason Goldberg might be looking for a new gig since his days as a HED “dealer” seem to be coming to an end.

Just sent you a PM about my current coach

Although not exactly on point, your team should consider training weekends outside of the city.

I have a very nice 3 bedroom apartment available for training camps. There is an endless pool onsite, as well as a swimming pond and trails. The surrounding roads are awesome for cycling. One of the rooms is equipped with a Hypoxico altitude tent. There is a full kitchen so that you can prepare healthy meals and save on restaurants.

It’s a very convenient location, less than 5 minutes from NYS thruway exit 19 (Kingston / Woodstock), less than 90 minutes by car from GWB. You can cycle from the site to the American Zofingen course, Devil’s Kitchen course or the other numerous Catskill Mountain climbs. The site is very convenient to all the amenities of Kingston, Woodstock, New Paltz and Saugerties, yet is situated on a quiet hilltop with awesome views of the Mohonk Mountain range across the valley and is surrounded by forests.

Local guides / coaches are available to lead you to the best roads, trails and open water swimming as well as offer swim stroke analysis, bike fit, etc… Greg Sautner and Shane Eversfield of Catskill Mountain Multisport, the region’s fully equipped triathlon shop, offer these services, as well as bicycle mechanical work. In the winter, Greg is your man for nordic skiing.

You and your athletes can jump start your fitness by spending a lovely weekend with us up here in the Catskills, the “New Hamptons”.

Thank you for all of the messages. As we anticipated, there is a lot of interest in setting up a new fresh Triathlon Club in the NYC area.
I will respond to all of the coaches that contacted us and we can begin a interview and discussion process to find the perfect fit for this new team.

We are really excited about the amount of interest and the level of talent that has contacted us.

For all of the athletes that contacted us that are interested in racing for a new club, we will keep your information and keep you updated to our progress.

As soon as we secure the appropriate head coach we can begin building the team, training camps and programs ready for next season!

Thanks again!!!
