NY/NJ ST'ers - Support new store

Greetings all,

I had the opportunity to vist JackRabbit Sports new location on 14th St. off of 5th Ave. Lee was kind enough to give me a quick tour, show off some of the equipment and analysis software that they use.

What was nicest about my visit was that his eyes didn’t glaze over when I mentioned that I was just stopping in to say hello and wish him well and that I wasn’t going to be purchasing anything at that time.

I encourage anyone with the time and ability to stop in and see the new store. As many of us know the tri community in and around the NYC area is growing but local retailers could still use our support.

PS - Before anyone flames me for mentioning a retail outlet I just want to mention that I have no connection to Lee or JR other than as an interested consumer.

My wife wants a gait analysis for new running shoes. Good idea to have it done there, you think??

Lee showed me a setup in which he captured video frames from the front and back. You could run them simultaneously and see the comparison. The one sample he showed me the gentleman pictured had wild pronation on the left foot but not the right. It almost hurt to watch :wink:

I wish Lee and his team the best that life has to offer in their new venture. Lee is a gentleman and a professional. Lee will continue to raise the bar for the rest of us, as he has done in Brooklyn, ultimately improving the NY market for the triathlete and road cyclist alike.
