I just moved to Denver, specially the northwest side of town between Arvada and Golden. Boulder is about a 30-40 minute drive, which is just a bit too far for me during the week. Does anyone know of any decent running trails that are closer to Arvada?
Where specifically? Are you looking for paved or dirt?

According to my map, I’m actually right in Arvada. Looking for dirt or anything softer than pavement.
I live in the West suburbs as well. There is decent running around Standley Lake, almost all trails. There are also some trails in the North Table Mountain area and just north of that around Blunn Reservoir. These are more a mix of paved and dirt. The Ralston Creek trail is a nice bike ride, can go all the way to downtown Denver if you know what branches to take.
Probably a bunch of other options, but those are the two I know.
Welcome to CO.

i’m travelling to Denver for work…and speaking of the North Table Mountain - a lot of “rattle snake” warnings - anything to actually be worried about?
Yep. Keep your eyes open. We had a big bull snake across the street (6’) and north table is a hot spot.
I rode today around Blunn Res and didn’t see anything, but it is the season.

Lots of bike paths in that area. Usually there’s a dirt track beside where you can run. Check them out.
Several good suggestions already made. Closer to Golden the Fairmount trail and Ralston Creek trail are all dirt.
I went to Bibber open space yesterday, which turned out to be only 1.7 miles of trail. But ran it back and forth a few times. A couple nice hills there. I’ll definitely check out those other suggestions this week.
