Nutritionists: What jobs?

I’m taking my pre-req’s for a B.S. in Nutrition, and I know that I can become a registered dietician, but I want to know what fields I can get into once I complete my degree and get registered.

What can I expect after graduating, as far as job competitiveness, pay, what job I should shoot for?

Are you primarily involved with athletes, or patients?

If you are involved with athletes, did you get right into it as soon as you were registered, or after gaining much experience?

Thanks in advance!

What are your interests? You can go private sector, working with athletes, etc. You can try to get an internship with a sports team, you can work clinical (hospital type setting), there are a lot of options.

That’s why they have career counselors at college.

As Dev said, lots of options–one being private practice

I was eyeing Arby’s more, but those chicken nuggets are delicious.

I guess a better way to ask is: do I have to do the clinical work before I try to go to a private practice or sports teams/athletes?
