I’m looking for some good sources and resources on race nutrition for various distances…my last two races I ran into cramping problems on the run, even though the same nutrition routine worked well in training.
My season is over, so I want to do a lot of off season research and testing to see what works best for me…
www.e-caps.com has a lot of information. Of course, it’s geared towards their products, but there seems to be a lot of good science behind it. Check out their Endurance Athletes Guide to Success http://www.e-caps.com/downloads/fuelinghandbook.pdf. They also have some information specific to triathletes.
the e-caps website is good, as mentioned above.
Also www.gordoworld.com (gordo byrn’s site) has a great nutrition series on the “Tips” page.
Of course, it’s geared towards their products…
Actually, most of the stuff on the “knowledge” page is really just good nutrition advice. It really doesn’t read like an ad at all. Some great information: http://www.hammergel.com/knowledge/
Sign up for the JOE periodical. Great source of new research info.
By the way, if you don’t read anything else from Hammergel/e-caps’ site, take the time to read this: http://www.hammergel.com/downloads/fuelinghandbook.pdf
