I didnt realize that Ironman owns this event, thought they were out of the 5150 business. This sounds a lot like the Malibu triathlon here, only now that SL has left it, no real pro race. But plenty of celebrities, big corps, and huge AG fields over a couple days..
Yeah back in around 2011/12 Ironman Corp (in an effort to piss off Challenge) bought the race production company that Challenge hired to put on the Challenge Cairns race. That company also hosted the Noosa and Mooloolaba Triās.They have run them ever since.
Challenge then broke the contract for their 2nd Challenge Cairns race due to conflict of interest and Ironman Cairns was born
This event goes back ages. King of Noosa back in the day was Craig Walton. Swim and bike machine! Iām not sure if itās the same event perse but a race out of Noosa
Just seen the results, not seen any of race, Jess āfull of wattsā could have a break through year next year, probably too late to get her out to Dubai on a wildcard, we aint got enough Brit girls on there already!

well anybody with a bit of insight of the sport knows that she was a bloody good vi ( visually impaired triathlete) guide , time trailing on a tandem so she knows riding a tt bike

Itās true though! The old dude mustāve drafted the hell out of the bike and jogged it in. No way Iām able to punch a person seconds from the finish of an all out Oly!
