That’s a good point…I’m actually after something that will ensure that I don’t hear the folks that regularly are in the office next door, and laugh all the time…
Active noise canceling is really only effective on steady sounds - think of a server room, or taking a flight somewhere, that sort of thing. It isn’t going much of an effect on your co-workers yacking.
Bose (much as I hate to recommend their overpriced stuff) is pretty much the best as far as active noise canceling goes. The QC25 has been on sale on Amazon for a little while now - might be worth a look. I’d say find someone to let you borrow them first and see what you think, but I guess you could do a return on them if needed.
yep, agree. have the Bose …love em.

Active noise cancelling works really well on steady background noise like an airplane engine or a washing machine but when it comes to voices, not so much.
I have found with mine that when the washing machine is running and i have naked ears i cannot hear anything people are saying.
But when I have my headphones on with the noise cancelling on I can’t hear the machine but the voices become crystal clear.
Yes, I can hear conversations and laughing more distinctly with them on because it cancels out all the white noise.
I got the Bose 35 wireless about a month ago. I’m happy enough with them. A bit bulky since my expectations on music ear pieces has long since transitioned to ear buds.
