No love for Strasser and his new WR?

“Austrian ultra-cyclist Christoph Strasser just pulverized the world record for 24 hours of road cycling. In one day, he rode 1,026.21 kilometers; that is an average speed of 42.75 kilometers per hour.”
I would have thought the bike geeks here would be all over this amazing performance.Just crazy stuff!!

I would put this record in the same order of magnitude of unbelievability as Rait’s 60 IMs in 60 days averaging under 11 hrs/IM. I mean, most trained cyclists and tri-guys can’t even hold 26.6 mph (on a flat windless course) for more than a minute or two, but he does it for 24 hours straight. Totally UNBELIEVABLE!!!
