No compression cycling socks

Anybody know of cycling socks made without compression in the foot? Neuromas in my feet mean that any little bit of compression absolutely lights me up. Something mid calf length would be great.

I use Izumi cycling socks, the cheap ones, and they are not very tight at all.

Try the Twin Six merino cycling socks
.

Two good choices I am aware of - because I have a few pairs of each:

The Wattie Ink socks - https://www.wattieink.com/collections/socks Moderate compression offered throughout the whole length of the sock.

Compressport - https://www.compressport.com/pro-racing-socks-bike/?id_cat=57

The ones by “Darn Tough” do not have compression to them.

I also have this problem.
Defeet Aireater (in the correct size) are really tight in the feet.

Some of the Specialized socks kill my feet.

One time I had been wearing the Specialized socks and wondered why my feet hurt- I realized it was the socks.

I don’t tinker I have ever seen cycling socks with compression in the foot. Are you sure it’s not the shoes that really tight? It seems like that would have a bigger impact.

BTW, I use regular defeet and gripgrab socks, and I have never noticed any compression.

How about just sleeves instead of full socks? My neuromas don’t care for tight-fitting socks either; it feels like my feet are being crushed…

Sleeves are an idea. I found a pair of Giordana mid cuff socks with almost no compression. Not the best socks ever but they’ll do. I’ve worn the Wright socks for years now and they’re great. But not very high up the calf for protection, like when mountain biking.

I think people without neuromas can’t really understand what compression in a sock can mean. Basically if a sock has “arch support” this translates to compression. Just the elastic that creates that can be enough to make it really bad. Without neuromas I think you probably wouldn’t even notice.

I actually even worry about my young son and him wearing these type of socks. It squeezes the metatarsals together which could cause neuromas.

Don’t wear socks.
