So my NB1080v7 are starting to feel worn, time to replace them. I bought a pair of nike air pegasus 34. I found these in wide as I have a wide foot and high arch. I wanted to try Nike Zoom Fly, but I can’t find any stores that carry these in my area. I tried on a pair of nike epic react but ran tight on my foot. Has anyone went from pegasus to nike zoom. If so do they run about the same in toe box, I have read some reviews that say the Air zoom are wider than normal nike shoes
I have Pegasus 34 regular width and Zoom Fly and the Fly is definitely wider through the mid foot and toe box. It also has a slightly higher arch. I much prefer the Fly to the Pegasus at all running speeds, easy miles are no problem. Friend went from Pegasus to Epic React and like you finds them much tighter.
You want the Altra Escalante Racer.
Hey Sheene, is it true at slower speeds e.g. 5min/km that the zoom fly works against you?

Runningwarehouse.com has free shipping and returns. Buy the zoom fly’s then try them on and see how you like them.
Nike Zoom Fly fit me perfectly in a 10. I have a narrow foot in general.
They are narrower than Pegasus (which I ordered in narrow), Vaporfly 4%, Structure, Epic React, Vapor Street, etc. They also have the highest arch. The closest shoe to the Fly in the current line up is the Elite 9, which is a great shoe for fast days.
You cant generalize across Nike Zoom as a sub brand. There are major differences in the molds, as well as the padding that result in completely different fit characteristics.
Not for me! I’m using them for all my long runs and find them great. I was going to send them back as soon as they arrived as they are the stiffest feeling shoes in hand I’ve ever come across but they work.
