Nike pegasus insoles dig into arch

anyone have a problem with the edge of the air pegasus insole digging into their arch? i can’t believe how one of them really seems to sit wrong…while this is my first pair, for a ‘standard’ shoe it is hard to imagine that this is normal.

I have the white-red version ( maybe 2006 ) … I do have the same problem - that’s why I wear socks all the time - but it’s still my favorite tennis shoes at this moment …

All Nike shoes do that with me, just the right one. They feel comfortable at the store once I get home, try them out for a few miles, boom. I gave up on them. Nike makes some cool looking products, they are just not the most dependable ones.

I’ve been wearing Pegasus for several years and have had the same thing happen on occasion. Usually not until I’ve put about 150+ miles on them. I never had the problem the first couple of years, but the more recent models seem more prone to it. It’s never been anything more than a minor nuisance. Didn’t cause blisters on long runs. Maybe the next model will be better, especially if this is a known problem.

Did have a problem with an insole that I left in the sun to dry (got a bit twiested), on the whole, very good shoe out of the box for me (about 15 pairs so far…).

i run exclusively in nike. i buy a pair of Superfeet with every new pair and swap out the insoles. the nike insoles are so whimpy I think they expect you to swap them out. http://www.superfeet.com/activity/running-walking.aspx

Funny you should mention it. I just bought a pair to see what the “shoe of the year” was like (and it wasn’t a bad price) and have the same thing on the right one. It feels like it will give me a blister, but on 2 1hr runs, it didn’t…but it sure feels weird.

Insteresting that you mentioned that this shoes got the prize for 2006 . I bought mine for just a matter of opportunity … I went to Toront and forgot my asics in home , so I bought this one because the price was reasonable and they didn’t have any asics . After the first run I never used the asics anymore … and I have three brand new box of asics shoes in home …
