Has anyone used a luggage storage service that will take bikes (in travel case) in Nice Airport? Looking to drop my bike after Worlds while I travel France for the week.
We left our luggage with the hotel where we stayed in 2019 since I don’t think the airport had any storage. It’s fairly small.
I’m not sure about the airport but check out Luggage Hero or Bounce. They are companies that show options for luggage storage. I haven’t used either of them personally.
You could also check with a hotel. If you happen to be flying in and out of Nice and staying in the same hotel before and after your travel they might store it for you.
Bounce is the way to go with this, but make sure the venue has space for larger items before booking.
Nice Airport has no storage due to security concerns.
Try your hotel or ask at the mairie for recommendations. There were enormous individual metal bike storage sheds at the train station but I haven’t been there for quite a few years. Failing that try contacting Nice Tri Club and ask them if they can help or have any suggestions.
The Nice Airport page still shows luggage service (https://www.nice.aeroport.fr/en/guide/luggage, under “left luggage”). Is this incorrect and should i be looking at alternatives?
EDIT: That link says bikes are accepted.
Find me a phone number for left luggage and I will check to see if there are capacity limits or any requirement to book in advance.
Seems to be a general email and phone contact

I have just spoken to them. He said there is no size limit but you must not have any liquids or gas canisters in the box.
He said it isn’t necessary to make a reservation but if you are worried send an email and they will confirm. They offer an english speaking service so I don’t think you will have any problems.
Don’t forget it is an 8am to 8pm service.
Thanks for looking into this, I’m also likely to try to use the service
On a slightly related note, does anyone know if there is a general Nice 2025 thread that I’m not seeing? Just qualified at Ottawa and trying to get a better sense of things
Thanks so much for confirming! Another thing to check off the list of things to do!
Rando question, how are car rentals in Nice? Thinking of renting one to go ride Alpe d’Huez a week before the race
I don’t know about car hire, sorry. I know it is about a 6 hour drive so make sure you have adequate mileage if you do hire.
Sometimes the hotels do deals for car hire so maybe ask your hotel.
I have done this from Nice Airport and might do it again before the race. No issues, I think I used Europ Car, it was expensive but all went smoothly.
