I just purchased a pair and I was very pleased. They felt good for a full 21 miles. Not sure if I am 175.00 pleased, but I will probably buy again when I can find a deal online. I am used to wearing Zoot and Innov 8’s. I am not disatisfied with them but I am trying to try all different kinds. I tried a pair of “ON” brand, they were super light and very comfortable, and look good too. However, there is a little bump in the front ball area of the insole that is meant to spread your toes on midstrike impact (I think that is the design…) That really ended up bothering my left foot by the 4th mile, not my right. I would say that the problem was with my foot more than the shoe, since my right foot felt fine for the full 8 miles.
I would love to try to Hoka’s but to me they are crazy looking. I might try someday.
FIY, they are on sale for $119 at Road Runner Sports or $107 if you’re a member. The new Gravity model is coming out in February and it’s going to be updated with the new 5 lug system. I’m at my 3rd pair of Gravity and never paid more than $135 for a pair. There’s always a sale somewhere
Agreed! The retail price was 175.00, I paid 150.00 (still too much) , a shop here in Houston analyzed my run for me and took a lot of time with me, much more than my normal purchase. I felt fine paying for the opportunity to spend so much time trying different top brands on and seeing how each felt and getting my stride reviewed etc. Now I have a list of shoes I will try and save more ultimately and buy them online.
