News from Endless Pools

Long time, no post. How y’all been? I’ve been working hard here at Endless Pools to find something that would really serve the needs of the triathlete.
You may or may not know us at Endless, but what we do is make the worlds best swimming trainer. The Original Endless Pool is a 7’ x 14’ x 39" deep pool with a 100% variable swim current…it’s the treadmill for swimmers.
However, the Original EP’s $20,000+install pricetag was often daunting for triathletes who already have to shell out for that new P3 Carbon. When I joined the EP team back in 2004, I asked you all what would make the EP more appealing and the universal answer was “Price Price Price”
We came out with a round, soft sided pool version in 2006 to try to bring the EP swim current to the masses, but the aesthetics were not appealing to many despite the great quality of swim.
Since then we have refined this product to make the compromise in looks a little less while keeping the price reasonable and the swim current incomparable.

We now have 2 sizes of The Fastlane Pool…
9’ x 17’ at $10,900

and the Brand new 9’ x 13’ at $9,900!

This new size allows the pool to fit on more garages, yards and even basements. It can be set up in a few hours so those of us in areas where the climate changes can swim year round…summer in the yard, winter in the garage! The speed of the current is variable in 52 steps with a max speed equivalent to a 1:05/100 yard pace with the standard current and a :57/100 yard pace with the optional Hi-Performance Current.

How much does replacement motors and plumbing cost?

Are you a janitor?

Hey Hid…

The replacement underwater motor (which we recommend swapping out every 5 years or so) runs $450. Replacement plumbing?? Are you planning on cutting it a lot? The plumbing is just flexible PVC. A 50ft roll runs about $75.

Remember…no water leaves the pool to create the current. It only leaves to get filtered. The Fastlane draws water from within the pool through the bottom 1/3 of the swim unit, turns it 90 degrees while smoothing the current and pushes it out through the front in a block about 2 feet wide and 14" deep.

Yes. I’m the janitor…

Oh, and sales manager.

How long would it take to move this from the yard to the garage? Would it be viable to do it in a single day. Is it possible to heat the water too, in which case, it might be possible to swim with wetsuit in May, sans wetsuit May-Sep, wetsuit in Oct, and then move into the Garage for the winter (although some of us might have to pay with major points when the spouse has to start a car outdoors in minus 20 on account of the pool using up the garage space…).

The convenience of having the pool hours “always open” is appealing, but still hard to justify when my primary sport is XC skiing for 4-5 months per year…once I get into June I can bike 15 min to the river for “endless pool access” for 3.5 months of tri season…

I meant a Stand Up Paddle Surfer.

You can easily accomplish the transition in a day. BY FAR the longest part is draining, and subsequently refilling, the pool. Once it’s drained, 2 people can move it and re-set it up in about 1-2 hours. Then you need to watch oit fill for a few hours.

If you are considering this, you need to also consider where the water quality system and the Hydralic Power Unit will go. If they are going to remain in one place (as most people do) then you need to make sure you get hydraulic hoses and flex PVC that will reach to the furthest location.

yes, you can heat this. The pool doesn’t come with a heater since I can’t anticipate your heating needs. I offer both an electric heater and a gas or propane heater as an option, or you can source those locally and plumb them in line with the Water Quality System.

damnilocano: Ahhhhh. Sorry. Nope, that was the owner of that company who wanted to try paddling in the current while at IMAZ.

Shit these are getting almost as cheap as Power Cranks
.

…and I’m better looking than Frank

You’re not one of those weirdos that is going to claim that swimming more is
going to make it so you’re a better swimmer, are you?

-Jot

Jot: Nope…swimming less, but swimming over a mirror so you can see what you’re doing wro…er…right will make you a better swimmer. Plus it’s great if you’re into looking at yourself at all times.

What concentration of urine in the water will it withstand?

What concentration of urine in the water will it withstand?
Who cares…urine’s sterile anyway.

Now we just need the study/review to decide if an EP saves the typical user 40%. How do we volunteer for this and get a free pool? This is what I really want to know!

I volunteer for the “I should be swimming more but aren’t, but have kids who would
love it” spot.

tigerchik can take the “I’ll swim 40km a week” spot.

I’m not sure what spots that leaves open in the study.

16 posts before the 1st “How do i get a free one” question. I think that’s a record

So does the first guy to ask for a free one get one? Or do we have to participate in the study…I promise I’ll swim daily!

So what’s the warranty? How tough is the side material?

I can’t believe I’m asking but I want one!
