I have recently read some positive reviews on Orca’s new flagship wetsuit the APEX and am wondering if any of the other manufacturers are coming out with new wetsuits. I’ve noticed that some of the online retailers are having sales on their Xterra’s, QR, and IM wetsuits suggesting they may be getting in new models for '06. The APEX sounds pretty nice but expensive at $500+.
no changes for QR or Xterra for the 2006 model year. May be some changes mid-year to the Xterra line but that is waiting to be seen.
No idea about the IM suits except that now they are Blue Seventy.
Simon Lessing and Pete Jacobs were both sporting the new IM Helix this season.
whole new line up for Ironman / Blue 70 … look for the downward zipper on the top suit Helix.
whole new line up for Orca … as mentioned with the 5 hundy Apex.

how about the new Matty Reed Lamar Fitness dimpled suit. also $500 or so.
another new player - Aquasphere is entering the tri market, with again, a $500 + suit.
plenty to choose from for 06, start saving your pennies cuz they won’t be cheap.
Damn…this year is the year of the wetsuit. Didn’t need one living and racing in Hawaii! Are there any brands/styles better for those vertically challenged?
I did notice that the new suit is dimpled. I think that I called this out last year and even claimed dibs on some royalty rights.
For those that stole my idea, I will accept as payment a new bike of my choosing.
