New Profile saddle: Anyone else tried it apart from slowman and have you retailers got it in yet?

Well have you ? It looks like a well consdiered saddle but as we all know this is an individual thing.

Any thoughts ?

haven’t tried it but my lbs has had one for a while now so it’s out there.

No and no. My personal preference is toward more traditional saddle designs though.

Haven’t tried it either, but am very interested in it. It looks a lot like the Azoto with a cutout and flatter on the top. Oh, and about $40-50 cheaper too.

If anyone else has any opinions on the saddle (especially old Azoto riders), I’d be very interested in hearing them.

I have about 600-700mi on mine. It did take me awhile to get used to it. There is tons of room on this saddle to fidget around if so inclined. As far as wear goes, it still looks brand new.

I have not tried it as I do not like saddles with cut-outs (prostate pain lets me know I am still alive, I suppose). I currently ride a Fizik Arione Tri on my TiPhoon and Fizik Arione on my Merlin ExtraLight.

We have gotten them in and sold through them with more coming. The saddle is well made, a bit heavy (like the Azoto), very long rails. I will let you know after Ironman CDA when we see some of the bikes come back in what the real feel was for the saddle. The price point of the saddle is great and I do think that PD has a good product here.

bumppity bump…I am interested in responses as well since I am looking to replace my saddle.

Looks like a shootout between the Arione Tri, the Azoto and the New PD one…just looking for guidance!

This will be of great interest to me. I have massive saddle set up issues all the time. I like my arionne but even this causes problems. You’re going to have your work cut out shortly !!!

I’ve only ridden a couple hours on one, but I knew within a few pedal strokes that I liked it.

Tried it. Don’t like it. It will go on Ebay when I get around to it. I’m still searching for a TT saddle that I like.

Also to be taken into account with which saddle is the amount of drop to the bars. Since I have dropped my bars I have noticed the saddle more. My lower back and neck have no problems but the saddle is definitley more noticable now. I know that you use a big drop too so let me know when you find a good saddle. I do not know how Bjorn can ride the drop that he does on a SLR. Maybe that is key to not get to exotic?
