Well, after 13 years (purchased in '92) I think it is time to retire my Shimano Dura-Ace Look style pedals. Given that I am fairly comfortable with that platform, which pedal would be a good replacement? I’m looking at either the SPD-SL 7800 or the Look Keo (cro-mo spindle), thoughts or opinions?

Man - those things are durable, huh? I’m still riding mine that I bought in 1990. I’m looking to upgrade pedals and shoes, as well. I was also looking at the Time RXS and Campy Chorus (no Shimano on this bike). Opinions on any of these welcome.
I got the Keos but haven’t had the chance to install or ride them yet. They look great, good quality ( as you would expect) etc. I’ll post more sometime when my schedule and the weather clear and I can install and ride them.
I have been riding the Keo’s for about three months now. Had another look pedal previously. I really like it. It’s much more flat and the pedal puts the ball of your foot much closer to the crank arm which feels like it distributes power a little better. You will need to lower your seat a little though more than likely with the Keo’s. I’d suggest them, I’ve had no problems with them.
I just installed a pair of new 7800s and love them. I think you will find that to be the consensus on them. Most people opt for the Ultegra because of the price difference. I got a really good deal on the Dura Ace with a pair of shoes so I took them home with me. No complaints and don’t expect any either. If they are good enough for Lance, then they are good enough for me.

This may be a shocker but I would go Time on that one…I am not really a fan of the Campy pedals.

I have been looking for new pedals recently to replace my worn-out speedplays and those are the two I came down to also. Leaning toward the Shimano’s, although it probably doesn’t matter - they are more or less the same choice.
I currently ride Look pedals and like them except for the constant squeaking. I’ve considered both the Keo and Shimano as future replacements and will probably go with the Shimano. I like the fact the Shimano cleats are nicer to walk in (I’ve slipped a few times in the Looks).
