I used to buy 180.00 dollar bolle’s. I new the wholesaler and got at a discount not that that is cheap. Then I had kid’s. They can never be safe whereever you put them. Belive me I tried. So I just got 4 pr’s of jawbonish looking oakley’s from the fleamarket for 20.00!! Work as good and look as good as my friends real oakley’s 
sort of like the open carbon mold frames being sold.

The problem is what happens if - for example (and I pray it never happens) - you crash wearing them. I’ve been to the Oakley testing lab. Let’s just say I am very, very, very thankful I wasn’t wearing $20.00 glasses when I crashed. I’d be blind in one eye. There is a MASSIVE difference in the lenses you get. If you were to crash, the lens on your flea market glasses could easily shatter directly into your eye. It’s just not worth the risk, IMO.

I had some pink Frogskins back in the day. My Dad found them in the attic had new lenses ground for them and gave them to me at Christmas. They are awesome.

Nope! They fixed the problem with the new lens replacing. In Radars lens snaps through nose bridge and chips the paint. Funny thing this happened on Radars when owners never replaced the lens. One or two snaps of the lens during manufacturing was enough to chip the plastic paint.
Weird it seemed to flake away at random places. Perhaps where there was most stress during normal wear (at the hinge). It was quite a shame as they were super sexy specs
Either way the company that looks after Oakley UK were TERRIBLE (no reflection on the product) at getting back to me even though it was a custom order but fortunately the retailer sorted me out.

Happened to a pair of White Chrome Radars which I have. Paint flaked at the arm hinges, around the nose piece and at the two highest points above the lens where I presume they may have occasionally knocked off my cycling Helmet ( Giro Ionos, so designed to work with Oakley if the hype is to be believed! ). I have never changed the lens on these so it is not wear / tear from doing this.
The paint flaking didn’t become noticeable until just after the 1 year warranty expired, good work Oakley!

So $5 frame and replace the lenses with some from Ebay?
any feedback now since you’ve worn these?
the shiny chrome finish worries me with regards to chipping and/or fading…
