It almost looks like a carbon copy of the incredibly successful Danskin formula.
What I wonder is will Danskin be back for 09, or will this new series essentially double the entry level opportunities for women in the sport?

Not that the Danskin Women’s Triathlon is going anywhere, Danskin officials say. They have no plans to drop their race series, which celebrates its 20th anniversary next year with races in eight cities, including Austin.
Two of the top leaders of the Danskin Women’s Triathlon are joining the Trek series. Maggie Sullivan, director of the Danskin Women’s Triathlon from 1992-2008, will serve as director of the Trek Women’s Triathlon. Sally Edwards, long the spokeswoman for the Danskin Women’s Triathlon Series and author of 22 books on fitness, will become spokeswoman for the new Trek Women’s Triathlon Series.
