Anybody else notice or think the Giro helmets the Garmin boys were wearing seemed to have a shorter tail than the typical Selector helmet?
could have just been my imagination or color combo.
They’ve been using them for a couple of years… Generally only pop up in the grand tours and world champs though.
I think a new one is coming.

There have been a couple of variants of the Selector recently. Late last year there was a shorter, stubby version (may have been what you saw today…dunno, I missed the coverage). Then earlier this year there appeared to be a longer tail version as well (I think it was ROmandie where I saw it).
Since Bell and Giro are owned by the same parent company, could it be a re-badged Bell TT lid?
Looks like a move toward the KASK short tailed helmet. I pretty sure its different from the Selector sitting in my closet
You probably have a bit more insight than I do, but the ones they had on today look like the same ones they were using in 2010.

Sorry for the links…
I said, “is coming” not “was used already.”
.
There is definitely a distinct difference there. Any hints you can give up?
