New Giro Aero Helmet?

I would say that the USAT refs are looking closely at all aero helmets in transistion before races…I raced Muncie this past weekend in my new Spiuk TT helmet and noticed both of the main refs come by my T spot and look for (and find BTW) the CPSC sticker inside…

Just make sure you got the sticker inside and you should be good…

So basically they are going by the presence of a sticker rather then the model of the helmet? Pretty damn retarded if you ask me.

Things tend to not stick when: washed, sweated on, rode in the rain etc.

“Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will.”

hey I saw you! I think you were the only one with a Spiuk. Cool looking helmet though too bad didin’t fit my big head.

Oh no…the person with the Bell Meteor II actually had the CPSC sticker inside the helmet. But that model of helmet has never been certified, so the ref knew something was amiss. With the Advantage II, they can also use the manufacture date and location stickers to tell if it’s legit or not.

Yeah, I was the only one there…I think! First ride in the thing and I must say it is really comfy…but those crosswinds on the way back up 35 about tore the thing off my head!

Do you remember the guy who passed you on a Felt and LG helmet?
I was up trying to get a gel down and the wind hit the front wheel, that was a scary moment.

Just make sure you got the sticker inside and you should be good…

So who sells the stickers?

Just remove the one from your regular road helmet and apply inside of the aero helmet
Not that I would do or recommend such a thing!

But still - if my helmet no longer has it’s sticker they are going to DQ me?

I did not really notice all those folks that went flying by my old, slow ass…I was trying to wrestle my bike to stay on the f-in road in all that wind…

It was the first time I experienced something like this. It wasn’t the speed of the wind but the gusts all of a sudden hitting you. Specially one place on the highway it blow me couple of feet to the right side. I am really suprised that i didn’t see anyone in the ditch.

Last night I checked the stickers on my Trek Sonic Bike helmet - no CPSC (or whatever) sticker inside.

A warning that it’s not meant for motorcycle use, a Trek Size Sticker, and a Trek date of manufactuer sticker.
