New gen "racing flats" to replace Asics DS Racer?

Have been racing (IM dist) in Asics DS Racers earlier, but having problems with Morton’s Neuroma, I have been using Hoka One Ones for a few years now, and finally seems to have gotten rid of that injury. I tried my old 2013 DS Racers, but immediately felt a it of problems in the toes again - so they are no go.

What could be a good, responsive, light, low-drop alternative nowadays?

I tried the Asics Fuzex Lyte and they are simply too “wobly” a faster paces.

Thanks - Tom

I have neuroma too. I find that it is fit that matters, not the shoe itself. I ran the ds racer a couple of years ago, found it to be a POS. Good candidates for replacement:

NB 1400
ASICS Hyperspeed
Nike Lunar Racer

Personally a big fan of the 1400, very “durable” and stable shoe for the weight.

Awesome.

I have literally tried 50+ shoes and the amount of material right under my toes, the hardness of same, maybe even the structure in this part - thats what causes pain for me. Pretty much every (light) shoe from Nike or Puma gave me problems.

Thanks for the input.

Did anybody try the ASICS GEL-HYPER 2 TRI ??
