The new Speed Concept is getting most of the attention at the moment, but this new Factor TT bike that was raced at the final TT stage of the Giro is intriguing, particularly the fork and seatstays, which are reminiscent of the wild Hope GB track bike that was unveiled in 2019.
As someone in the market for a new TT bike, ultimately I will follow the data (when we get it) and so am looking forward to seeing how these new bikes shake out in the tunnel (virtual or otherwise).
This sure is the most interesting bike of the new releases and they are the first company to really take advantage of the new design rules. I don’t know if there is much of a chance that we will see a wind tunnel comparison anytime soon, but it will be interesting to see if Alex Dowsett is riding that unbadged Shiv anytime in the future and it would probably be a good idea to keep an eye on his YouTube channel. He did a bunch of testing in the wind tunnel last fall before his hour record attempt and he seemed kind of cagey about what bike he would ride for the record attempt. This thing looks very much like it could be very fast.
This may be the bike equivalent of the new Rudy Project TT helmet. After years of producing drastically overpriced and underwhelming options they just happened to hit on a good design. I doubt they are going to provide testing data because that would set a standard they don’t want to have to live up in the future but it will come out in the data. They avoided providing data to support their split downtube claims like the plague.
The Giant Trinity has that design yet
Not sure what you mean? Their newest is coming soon? The current is since 2018 or so. 2022 would make sense.
If you mean it looks similar with wide, I’d say no. I have a pro TT model and it isn’t wide fork and stays like that. Nice shape, but different. Deep front head tube sure.
