The wife and I are looking to get away for a night or two and want to find a B&B, Inn, etc. that offers good road cycling and/or running. I’m looking for specific places, rather than general guidelines like “try the White Mountains.” Ideally within a 2 hour drive of Boston. Thanks.
I dont know any specific B&B’s but Lincoln, NH has plenty of hotels/resorts and whatnot, and there are some great rides you can do from there. Kangamangus Highway is a killer ride and goes right through Lincoln. Try North Conway as well, at the other end of the Kangamangus.
Tolland Inn
just off I-84 in Tolland, CT, 2hrs. to NYC, 1.5 hrs. to Boston.
The innkeeper, Steve, made nearly every piece of furniture in the entire Inn by hand. Norm from “This Old House” worships at Steve’s bandsaw.
Run/ride info available upon request.

Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth MA - tons of great riding routes on quiet winding roads with some rolling hills and awesome scenery (especially if you head up towards Sandwich and Rt 6A. Cape Cod Marathon course and falmouth Road Race course are both clearly marked.
Check out the Waitsfield Vt area. Best way of getting info is to go to the Fitwerx website- they list lodging too. Awesome cycling, pretty area in the Green Mountains.
I got married at the Echo Lake Inn in Ludlow VT.
Lots of dirt roads for running, and the old courses for the Killington stage race go right by the place!

Thanks. These are all great, but keep 'em coming if you know of any others.
Are you thinking for this time of year? I would say your best bet for cycling would be going south rather than NH/VT. How about either Nantucket or the Vineyard? The Vineyard esp. if you want to cycle. Where you stay there is going to depend on you price point.
The Pitcher Inn in Warren, VT. There is no better place to stay ni NE and you will score uber-bonus points with teh wife. Great roads to run and ride. Check out Fitwerx in Waitsfield, about 5 miles away. Also, American Flatbread Pizza should not be missed.
