I am considering changing my setup/fit on my 2016 Argon 18 E119, and part of that, is upgrading the bar extentions to maybe something like 51 Speedshop or Aerocoach.
Did anybody do this succesfully? I am unsure what diameter the original bars are, but I am measuring something like 21.7mm.
51 Speedshop or Aerocoach seems to run 22.2 mm bars which seems an industry standard.
The OEM aero bars on your bike would be the industry’s 22.2mm standard. I have a pair of D2Z poles (standard 22.2) that fit my 2016 Argon 18 perfectly.
From memory, the top piece that clamps down on the aero bar extensions does not bisect the center of the channel; its ever so slightly above. Even with that top part removed, the 22.2mm aero bar extension is slid into place horizontally versus dropped in vertically.
