Neoprene Swim Sleeves?

Anybody have any experience with these?

I suppose this is meant for people who like to wear a sleeveless wetsuit, but for when it’s cold. Personally, I never really understood the sleeveless wetsuit.
These would be AWESOME to wear running and/or riding in cold, wet weather though. My favorite pair of gloves for cold riding are actually my 5mm surfing gloves.

It’s for guys like me who are pretty wide in the shoulders/lats, but not too tall - the regular sleeved wetsuits constrict me until I literally can’t swim. I had two wetsuits from Blue70 and Orca fitted to me by very experienced triathlon store owners and both of them constricted me to the point I couldn’t swim over 300meters without my shoulders tiring out. Switched to a sleeveless, and voila - no problem. Gets cold in the Pacific though.

I still think I’d be cold in the sleeves though. The armpit loses a lot of heat - the actual arms not as much.

QR use to make speed sleeves which are the same thing as your TYR link.

Yeah, the main thing I like is the possibility of using my cheap wetsuit in colder temps- or at least the idea of doing it anyway. Hadn’t thought of using them as true cold weather arm warmers, I like the concept though.

I have the QR neoprene sleeves and I use them because I hate the shoulder restriction feeling I get with my full sleeve wetsuit. I love them! However, you do want to be sure to use a lot of body glide on the inside upper arm or you can get some bad chaffing.

Be very careful with sizing, if you get them even a little too big they can fill up with water fast, once they get water underneath them between your skin they will start to float around on your arms. Make sure they’re tight.
