Need some help w/ my new zipp disk

Just got a new zipp disk wheel. If anyone knows somewhere I can get a set of Dura-ace carbon brake blocks, and, I need a tool that allows me to put air in the wheel. My pump will not fit in the hole where the valve is. I checked zipp’s web site, and found no help. Thanks!

Michael

Here’s what you need:

  1. Shimano carbon brake pads, 7700 model, cork, 19.99

  1. A Silca disc wheel adapter, 6.99

You can get these at Nytro.com or Hi-TechBikes.com

Also, you can make a disc adapter by using an old piece of pump hose tubing, about 4" long, put an old presta valve off an old tube (remove all rubber) in one side and a tiny hose clamp on it, put the silca adapter on the other side, this way you can use your pump to inflate your disc.

Enjoy your disc (I went with Corima recently myself)

or… you can just use the adapter by fitting it into your floor pump. Then you can toss it into your seatbag and use it with the frame pump or a C02 inflator.

for inflation, I also found that screwing a valve extender onto the tire valve and then pumping that up. Even with a small cutout, there was enough room to screw on the extender, pump the tire up, and then remove the extender.

Zipp also do their own carbon brake blocks - see their web site
