Bought a new bike last Spring, ready for a bike fit in the Seattle area. Any recommendations/good experiences?
I know that Gregg’s at Green Lake has a professional fitter come in once a week. I’ve heard good things about him, but I’m not sure his level of training.
Other options are Cycle University on Sand Point Way. I had a fit from them several years ago and was pretty happy.
Also probably worth contacting Speedy Reedy in Fremont or Mr. Crampy’s Multisport in Kirkland. I’m guessing they likely have fitters or could give a good recommendation.
Good luck and let me know who you end up with. I’d like to get a new fit here soon too.
Check out Neal Goldberg. He’s a PT that works extensively with cyclists and is a multi-time ironman himself
best bet is to email him
Erik Moen is “the” authority in the Seattle area.
Ugh… There is one fellow up there, runs a studio that is “fed” through a number of stores associated with him. I’ve met him on a number of occasions and- although I’ve never been fit by him- he impressed me as having superb technical knowledge and practical sense.
It shouldn’t be difficult to find the lad, this may be him shown in Portland if I am thinking of the right fellow:

Brooke at Speedy Reedy… I have never heard anyone complain and she is a fitter who actually rides and races.
Russell Stevenson is great. He is very knowledgeable and has the credentials. He is the only person I recommend to friends and athletes.
luckily for you - there are some very good fitters in this area.
Eric Moen is highly regarded… but I didn’t enjoy my experience with him, and won’t be back.
Neal Goldberg is very good, and he races quite a bit - he knows what’s up - I’d absolutely go back to him.
Brooke at Speedy Reedy has a good reputation, I don’t know her work personally
Mr Crampy’s is very good - several of my teamates got fits there and are very happy
If you are looking for a TT specific fit (not Tri), call cycle U and ask about Lang or Adrian Hegevary, they are both professional cyclists who are very good at TTs, and their fits are outstanding. However, if you are wanting to get setup for an IM race, I wouldn’t go to them. (I’ll probably be going to them for a TT specific fit within the next year or so)
If you are looking for a list of people to do a ‘Road’ fit, note that and I’d recommend a totally different list.
Among any of those people, you’ll be well set up.
best regards!
Brooke at Speedy Reedy is phenomenal. I was very recently fit on my new '10 Felt B12 and she spent over an hour going over my position, adjusting my stem length, extension length, saddle position and angle, seat-post height, knee angle, etc… They’re F.I.S.T. certified fitters. There were two fittings before me and one after- she was quite busy and has concomitantly acquired a lot of experience. I very strongly recommend going to Speedy Reedy. My position feels great and I had an excellent experience (note: I have no connection with them other than being a satisfied customer).
Here’s their site: http://speedyreedy.com/ and their phone number: 206.632.9879.
I’ve worked with Mike Rabas at Woodinville Bicycle for both my roadie fits. He does a fantastic job for both bike and shoe/cleat footing. Made a huge difference for me.
Kyle Watson the owner of Mr. Crampy’s Multisport can fit you.
I work at Mr. Crampy’s Multisport in Redmond. Please feel free to give me a call and we can set something up. 425.869.2070

I live in the Seattle area and am not sure who to go to for a fitting. I’d appreciate any suggestions on who to see for a road bike fit. I plan on putting some aero bars on my bike, so I’m not really sure if I should go see a road bike fitter or someone who specializes in triathlon fits. Even though it isn’t a tri bike, would a tri fitter be better? This will be my first season participating in triathlon and I own a compact road bike frame. Any suggesitions would be greatly appreciated.
