Long story short, I switched to a 31.8mm bar, so I ordered the 31.8mm clamps fro Profile to match. Well you get clamps, but no hardware, and the 26mm clamp screws are too short. Oh yeah, they increased the screw size for the cups as well, so now my cups won’t screw in to the new clamps b/c the holes are too big.
Does Home Depot sell hex screws in metric sizes? I’m in NYC and am going to call SBR, but this just happened so I’m asking everyone. Thanks.
Home depost’s hardware selection occasionally SUCKS. Better luck at an actual hardware store if you have one around. However most of the threads on bikes are fairly standard so HD probably has them.
I would imagine you could get those at home depot or something…
Not to hijack this post but I also have Airstryke’s and need the replace the little spring that pulls the arm rest up. I emailed Profile but they haven’t got back to me yet. Does anyone know how to replace this spring and where to get the spring?
If your bars are like mine you need a small pin punch to drive out a small pin that the arm rest pivots on,i have two springs if you need them,Randall
.
McMaster Carr has every screw you could want, stainless, standard, metric, titanium, aluminum, etc. You have to order a box but it’s still cheap. I’ve ordered stuff at 3pm Pacific time and had it at 10Am the next morning. If you want screws that use an allen wrench those are called ‘Socket head cap screws’. hex head screws have a hexagonal head.
Where did you get those springs? What size are they?
I’ve had my Airstryke’s for over 6 years with no problems until one of the springs broke recently. I “jerry-rigged” it with a rubber band…but want to fix it the right way.

Call or E-mail profile and tell them what happened, when I have done this they have mailed me a complete set of armrest holders instead of a set of springs. Profile has been one of the best companies I have ever done business with.
