I was looking for the name of a particular song from the 2008 Ironman banquets. I presume it was played at all of them however, I only attended Ironman Wisconsin so I could be wrong with that statement. The song I am looking for was the song that played at both the pre/carb dinner and the awards ceremony as Mike Reilly’s introduction song. It was a very trancy song and I was told by the NA sports production staff that I should do a search called “songs you might hear in an Ironman” and that it would be in the list however after months of searching I can’t find this playlist anywhere. Can anyone help me out?
It wasn’t Paul Oakenfold’s Ready, Set, Go… It was much more low key than that song and had a very soothing start and I think it picked up a little more about 30 seconds in. The song also does not seem like it would be a song that would be mainstream by any means. Any other thoughts???
Kinda of weird, but I was just thinking about it and other things/style that NA Sports/Mike Reilly likes and Coldplay popped into my mind. I started going thru songs on the itunes store and I think it may have been “Life In Technicolor”. Here is a video but I am not sure. Beat starts at about :30 and goes to about 1:30
Yes I switched the intro song from “Right Here Right Now” to Coldplay’s “Life in Technicolor” starting with IM WI. After about 3 years of Right Here it was time for a change. After hearing the 2 min 31 sec song on the new Coldplay Viva La Vida album I felt it would work.
